No matter what the records, Sox-Twins games are always exciting. The past 3 days have been no different.
It’s always good when the Sox win 2 of 3.
Don’t know how he relates to Sox baseball, but Snoop Dog was in the shizzle throwing out the first blizzle (my word). I wish he would have brought the guy in the green suit.
Not only did they win, they slammed the Twins. 3 home runs in the 6th inning, including the first career grand slam by Alejandro De Aza, helped the Sox to an 11-8 win.
I was running around so I didn’t hear the entire game, but every time I turned on the radio the Sox were knocking it out of the park.
A.J. Pierzynski with a solo shot in the 2nd. Konerko and Rios with back to back shots in the 6th. Followed by De Aza’s grand salami. The luck was with me today.
I even heard Viciedo’s massive blast in the 8th, right when I got out of the car.
5 home runs in total for the Sox, who moved a game over .500
The only guy who did join in on the fun was Adam Dunn, who did walk once, but also struck out twice.
Phil Humber was Mister Hyde today, lasting until the 5th before being pulled after giving up 5 earned runs. Humber is the only starter struggling with his consistency. John Danks has had his struggles, but except for one start has been decent.
It’s gonna be a long year for Minnesota. I wonder how bad they would be if they didn’t have Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer. Those 2 combined to go 5-9, with 3 home runs, and 4 RBI.
Sox have no time to celebrate, as the 1st place Indians come to town. Sox still trail the Tribe by 3.5 games.
Gotta go now as I’ll be streaking through the quad…Come on, join me
