We all know about Adam Dunns struggles, but finally someone has stepped up to the plate and given the big man some advice. It’s none other than Jose Canseco. The juiced master told Dunn to just swing harder and he’ll start seeing results. Maybe he has a point. Canseco made it clear that if Dunn just forgets about his average, and swings for the fences, he’ll turn his season around.

Dunn has probably received so much advice he is drowning, but Canseco, although now a caricature of himself, was a prolific power hitter in his day. He may have been on elephant tranquilizers, but he could still hit the ball a long way.

My only worry is if Dunn takes his advice, he’ll have to bow down to Canseco forever. Doing, or taking anything from Canseco is like making a deal with the devil. Calm down, I’m not comparing Canseco to the dark master, I’m just saying that Canseco will do anything for publicity, and recognizing him in any way could lead to a lot more media coverage than Dunn wants.
