Dancing with injuries–an update on 2 Sox

With his past injury history, any time Carlos Quentin winces, he is given a rest. He winced before Saturday’s contest against the Dodgers, and was sat down.

The official word. Bruised left knee. Manager Ozzie Guillen says that he won’t play on Sunday, but should be able to play on Monday when the Sox begin a 10 game road trip in Texas.

Another injured player, Mark Teahen, says he hopes to be ready by next Friday, when he is eligible to come off the disabled list. Teahen, who has a right oblique strain, has been on the DL since the 12th of May.

The Sox have good depth, so in the short term should be able to withstand these injuries.
