Sox: armed and ready?

White Sox camp is getting down to the nitty-gritty. 2 positions battle are still ongoing, one at 3rd base while the other battle is for the final spot on the roster.

It sure looks like Brent Morel will win the 3rd base battle, although nothing has been announced. Mark Teahen, last year’s starter, is having a great spring, but will most likely be relegated to utility man. Basically the same position he held with Kansas City. Knowing how to play 3 or 4 different can be a curse as well as a blessing. I think Teahen is primed to have a good, if not great, year.

The other big story has to do with Jake Peavy. The Peavster ongoing lat-shoulder trouble will probably see him start the season on the sidelines. Although with Peavys work ethic and drive anything is possible. That man pushes himself harder than any player I have ever seen. And he is such a nice guy that is hard to not pull for him.

So that where’s the Sox stand today.. I’ll have more information soon. Until then:

Go Sox!!
