White Sox camp is getting down to the nitty-gritty. 2 positions battle are still ongoing, one at 3^rd base while the other battle is for the final spot on the roster.

It sure looks like Brent Morel will win the 3^rd base battle, although nothing has been announced. Mark Teahen, last year’s starter, is having a great spring, but will most likely be relegated to utility man. Basically the same position he held with Kansas City. Knowing how to play 3 or 4 different can be a curse as well as a blessing. I think Teahen is primed to have a good, if not great, year.

The other big story has to do with Jake Peavy. The Peavster ongoing lat-shoulder trouble will probably see him start the season on the sidelines. Although with Peavys work ethic and drive anything is possible. That man pushes himself harder than any player I have ever seen. And he is such a nice guy that is hard to not pull for him.

So that where’s the Sox stand today.. I’ll have more information soon. Until then:
